Renewing Adult Passport

You are required to obtain and complete an application form. Along with your application form you will be required to submit the following documents:

• Current Passport
• Birth Certificate/Adoption Certificate or Jamaican Citizenship Certificate
• Two (2) identical Photographs ( NB//: one photograph must be certified by the same certifying official who certified your application)
• Proof of name Change if name has been changed (Marriage Certificate, Deed poll, Divorce Decree, Court Order)

Cost for renewal of Passport for adult  : USD $120

Renewal for Minors 

• Original passport (current or expired);
• Original Birth Certificate or Certificate of Jamaican Citizenship or Adoption Register;
• Two colour passport size photographs; one of which should be certified;
• Parent(s) identification (passport, driver’s licence or other state issued ID);
• Legal Guardians are required to submit a court order along with their ID or a notarised letter of consent from the parent(s) and their ID.

Cost for renewal of Passport for minor  : USD $90

NB. For passports being renewed with more than 12 months validity, a $200 replacement fee applies.

The turnaround time will be approximately 10-14 weeks, upon compliance. At the same time, the Consulate General of Jamaica, New York, and the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency, reserve the right to request additional and / or updated documents in order to ensure the completion of the process. 

The acceptable forms of payment are cash,  or debit card (a 4% surcharge is applied by the banking machine used for debit card) for in-person appointments, Only. For mailed in applications, payment must be made by way of Money Order made out to the Consulate General of Jamaica or the Jamaican Consulate General.
