You can now renew your Jamaican driver’s licence from abroad. In order to do this, you will have to delegate a family member or friend to assist with this. Requirements are:
- Original expired driver’s licence;
- Completed Application Form which should be certified by a Notary Public or a Jamaican Consular Officer. The Form is available at: https://www.jamaicatax.gov.jm/documents/10194/18658/f7.pdf/77345de2-76af-4982-a0a5-74269afc1308;
- A recent passport-sized photograph of the licensee, certified, stamped and dated by the same Notary Public or Jamaican Consular Officer who certified the application form;
- Notarised letter of request addressed to the Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ), and furthermore and giving the friend or family member the authority to apply for and collect the document;
- Fees as according to the list at https://www.jamaicatax.gov.jm/rates-and-fees/#motorvndrlic.
